The researcher presents a profile with a wide teaching experience of 25 academic courses in engineering, being responsible for some of the 30 different subjects he has taught. In addition, he has acted as tutor in more than 70 end-of-degree projects of different degrees. It has an important creation of teaching material and has great interest in teaching innovation, participating in a significant number of courses, as well as the use of virtual teaching tools.

Regarding research highlights that, although the number of articles in scientific journals is not very high (9 articles), which presents a high quality, having been published in journals with a high quality index. Other works have been presented at prestigious congresses, where the acceptance of the papers supposes the overcoming of strict reviews in which the quality of the same ones prevails. On the other hand, the participation in research projects is considerable, (32 projects), it should be noted that many of them have been carried out in collaboration with companies of different types which has involved an important technology transfer. The researcher’s line of work focuses on the fields of process control, automation, robust control, supervision systems, etc. with a clear tendency to the application in real plants of the theoretical developments settled in the academic world. Proof of this is the doctoral thesis «Contributions to the Modeling and Control of Rotary Driers» in which he made an important effort to apply different control strategies to industrial solid-drying plants, which has been valued very positively with the achievement of the National Award of the «Jose Antonio de Artigas y Sanz» Foundation.
