Dr. Maria Laura Mascotti (CONICET Argentine) as Invited Speaker at GBB Seminar Series of the University of Groningen
In the framework of NET4FLOW (MSCA-SE project) Secondment Programme, Dr. Maria Laura Mascotti is performing research and dissemination activities at GECCO Biotech b.v. (Groningen, The Netherlands). In aligment with the goals of this EU initiative, she is contributing to project dissemination and promoting fruitful collaborations between academia and industry sector by participating at GBB Seminar Seies as an invited speaker. Her talk, “Evolution of Respiratory Enzymes and Membrane Fusion at the Origin Eukaryotes“, focuses on the the evolution of electron transport chain proteins, highlighting how evolutionary approaches can inform both functional interpretation and potential applications. It also introduces a membrane fusion mechanism that may have operated during early eukaryogenesis and discusses its implications for the cellular transitions underlying the origin of eukaryotes.
May 7th at Bernoulliborg (University of Groningen, The Netherlands).
