{"id":12534,"date":"2026-02-23T20:34:38","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T20:34:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/jornada-taller-arquitectura-y-viviendas-adaptadas-una-vision-de-personas-que-conviven-con-el-alzheimer\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T21:20:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T21:20:31","slug":"jornada-taller-arquitectura-y-viviendas-adaptadas-una-vision-de-personas-que-conviven-con-el-alzheimer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/en\/jornada-taller-arquitectura-y-viviendas-adaptadas-una-vision-de-personas-que-conviven-con-el-alzheimer\/","title":{"rendered":"WORKSHOP DAY: ADAPTED ARCHITECTURE AND HOUSING, A PERSPECTIVE FROM PEOPLE LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER&#8217;S"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">SEVILLE \/ 23 February 2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of the scheduled activities within the <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/en\/proyecto-vivalz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VIVAlz research project,<\/strong><\/a> the F\u00e9lix Pozo Hall became the setting for an enriching and innovative <strong>Workshop Day<\/strong>, involving fifth-year <a href=\"https:\/\/departamento.us.es\/dpaetsas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Architectural Design<\/strong> <\/a>students from the Seville School of Architecture. The Workshop also featured the participation of members from the Expert Panel of People with Alzheimer&#8217;s (PEPA) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.confeafa.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Andalusian Confederation of Alzheimer&#8217;s and Other Dementias<\/strong><\/a>, with the aim of addressing the impact this disease has on living environments.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">The session kicked off with a presentation by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/en\/about-us\/santiago-quesada-garcia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Santiago Quesada-Garc\u00eda<\/a><\/strong>, who outlined the educational and scientific objectives of the day, welcomed the guests, and highlighted a crucial figure for the building sector: the forecast that by 2035, Andalusia will need more than 42,800 homes adapted to the needs of people living with Alzheimer&#8217;s disease. Following this, <strong>Antonio Sagues<\/strong> delivered a lecture focused on informing and, above all, raising awareness among future architects regarding the reality of Alzheimer&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11487\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/07-01.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 data-path-to-node=\"7\">El cambio de mirada: la voz de la experiencia<\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Tras la introducci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica, <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/quienes-somos\/santiago-quesada-garcia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Santiago Quesada-Garc\u00eda<\/strong><\/a> enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de situar al usuario en el centro del dise\u00f1o, cediendo la palabra a los verdaderos beneficiarios de los proyectos arquitect\u00f3nicos a trav\u00e9s de testimonios de personas afectadas por esta enfermedad pertenecientes <strong>Panel de Expertos de Personas con Alzheimer (PEPA)<\/strong> y cuya visi\u00f3n transform\u00f3 la perspectiva del aula.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">La primera intervenci\u00f3n corri\u00f3 a cargo de <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"42\">Soledad Garc\u00eda<\/b>, persona con alzh\u00e9imer, quien expuso la trascendencia que tienen factores ambientales como la iluminaci\u00f3n natural en el bienestar y la salud diaria de los pacientes, recordando adem\u00e1s el reto demogr\u00e1fico de que Espa\u00f1a se convertir\u00e1 en una de las poblaciones m\u00e1s longevas del mundo en los pr\u00f3ximos quince a\u00f1os. Por su parte, <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"381\">Joaqu\u00edn Petit<\/b> aport\u00f3 la perspectiva de la persona cuidadora, incidiendo en el papel que juega el desarrollo t\u00e9cnico de los arquitectos a la hora de garantizar la seguridad en el hogar. Por \u00faltimo, <b data-path-to-node=\"9\" data-index-in-node=\"637\">Matilde Granados<\/b> relat\u00f3 su valiente testimonio tras ser diagnosticada con un deterioro leve y detall\u00f3 las decisiones que tom\u00f3 de inmediato para adaptar su propia vida personal y el entorno de su hogar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11486\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/hac\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/08-04.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 data-path-to-node=\"10\"><\/h4>\n<h4 data-path-to-node=\"10\">Proyectar en las aulas<\/h4>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">Tras las ponencias y una breve pausa de trabajo, la teor\u00eda dio paso a la pr\u00e1ctica. Los estudiantes se distribuyeron en grupos para iniciar un taller din\u00e1mico y cooperativo. El n\u00facleo del ejercicio consisti\u00f3 en entrevistar y trabajar directamente a los miembros del PEPA, permitiendo a los estudiantes indagar de primera mano en las necesidades espaciales, de orientaci\u00f3n y de confort que demanda este colectivo de personas.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">La jornada concluy\u00f3 con un pleno donde cada grupo expuso sus conclusiones, propuestas e impresiones de dise\u00f1o arquitect\u00f3nico.
