Sin embargo debe hacer frente a dos nuevos retos en el clima mediterr\u00e1neo: uno social, asociado a la pobreza energ\u00e9tica, y otro ambiental ante el constatado cambio clim\u00e1tico. Ambos aspectos deben ser afrontados de forma conjunta ya que incidir\u00e1n en una tendencia a un aumento de consumo energ\u00e9tico y generar\u00e1n problemas de confort y salud.<\/p><p>Estos nuevos retos exigen nuevos enfoques que permitan adaptar el parque residencial existente, actualmente energ\u00e9ticamente obsoleto, no a los actuales est\u00e1ndares energ\u00e9ticos sino a las nuevas condiciones clim\u00e1ticas del siglo XXI. En el \u00e1rea mediterr\u00e1nea el cambio clim\u00e1tico supondr\u00e1 en las pr\u00f3ximas d\u00e9cadas un notable calentamiento que afectar\u00e1 a la edificaci\u00f3n residencial, la m\u00e1s vulnerable energ\u00e9ticamente, produciendo un impacto sobre las estrategias pasivas a considerar en los procesos de rehabilitaci\u00f3n junto con cambios en la demanda energ\u00e9tica y condiciones interiores de las viviendas, con una innegable repercusi\u00f3n en las condiciones de pobreza energ\u00e9tica de un importante sector de la poblaci\u00f3n. Su objetivo principal es mejorar las condiciones de habitabilidad de un importante sector de la poblaci\u00f3n que reside en edificios residenciales en clima mediterr\u00e1neo en un panorama de cambio clim\u00e1tico. Se propone el dise\u00f1o optimizado de Fachadas de Doble Piel (DSF) en la rehabilitaci\u00f3n de edificios residenciales, mediante m\u00e9todos num\u00e9ricos y experimentales, para la mejora de la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y el confort interior, evaluando el impacto que el calentamiento global tendr\u00e1 sobre la demanda energ\u00e9tica y las condiciones de confort, tanto en su estado actual como tras la aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de rehabilitaci\u00f3n mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de DSFs, con el fin de comprobar la validez y respuesta de las mismas. Los objetivos espec\u00edficos del proyecto son:<\/p><ol><li>Caracterizar y evaluar las interacciones entre las diferentes variables de dise\u00f1o de las DSF en clima mediterr\u00e1neo y su repercusi\u00f3n en la demanda energ\u00e9tica y en las condiciones ambientales interiores.<\/li><li>Evaluar el impacto que el calentamiento global tendr\u00e1 sobre la demanda energ\u00e9tica y el confort del parque residencial en \u00e1reas mediterr\u00e1neas, tanto en su estado actual como rehabilitado con soluciones de DSF.<\/li><li>Optimizar las variables de dise\u00f1o de DSF para la rehabilitaci\u00f3n de la envolvente de edificios residenciales mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos param\u00e9tricos y experimentales.<\/li><li>Desarrollar una herramienta de an\u00e1lisis energ\u00e9tico de las DSF que permita su integraci\u00f3n, como \u201cextensiones o complementos\u201d, en herramientas de simulaci\u00f3n de c\u00f3digo abierto, con amplio uso y reconocimiento
