Abstract: We investigate an augmentet Peyrard-Bishop model, including twisting of the base pairs, i.e. the dipoles and curvature. We record the formation of localized unbounded increase of oscillation amplitudes; an effect we denote bubbling. This observation is supported analytically. We suggest that this mechanism may be of importance for the opening of 2-stranded polymers, eg. the DNA molecule or the hairpin RNA
