El proyecto involucra<\/p>\n<p>diferentes actores locales, industrias, autoridades, pymes, centros de I+D y universidades<\/p>\n<p>para escalar inclusivamente hasta un nivel preindustrial procesos de valorizaci\u00f3n de<\/p>\n<p>residuos bajo las premisas de la econom\u00eda circular, centr\u00e1ndose en la valorizaci\u00f3n de<\/p>\n<p>residuos de fosfoyeso (FY) para generar materias primas sostenibles para su uso en las<\/p>\n<p>industrias del papel, cemento, bater\u00edas, fertilizantes y detergentes, propiciando liberar la<\/p>\n<p>tierra quedar\u00eda de estos residuos para su restauraci\u00f3n y transformaci\u00f3n. The sintering process involves spark plasma sintering for SiB6 and reactive spark plasma sintering for B6O. A key focus of the project is to analyse the experimental conditions necessary for achieving fully dense specimens with a precise grain size distribution. Additionally, the project will delve into the correlation between the fabrication route and the non-stoichiometry of these ceramic materials, addressing a critical aspect.<\/p><p>A novel aspect of the research involves exploring the role of grain twinning in high-temperature plastic flow and grain growth, a dimension that has not been previously explored. The project is situated within the realm of Science and Technology of Materials, specifically within the family of ultrahard ceramics. This family is gaining prominence among ceramists, due to the need for advanced materials capable of withstanding extreme environments, a requirement for technological advancements in clean energy, extra-terrestrial exploration, and in-atmosphere hypersonic travel.<\/p><p><\/p><p style=\"line-height: 16.1px; These borides are fabricated using naturally abundant metals, such as titanium, aluminium, zirconium, with boron. This last non-metallic element gives these materials outstanding hardness and wear resistance, as well as resistance to radiation damage. The project describes how they can be fabricated in efficient way by means of electric fields, and how this technique allows the formation of intermetallic phases that radically reduce the minimum temperature to guarantee manufacturing with optimal density and optimised mechanical strength. At the same time, the project has studied the microstructural features that explains the mechanism of manufacturing of these ceramics at low temperatures, analysing how the grain boundaries move under the action of electric fields and mechanical stress. This project opens a new line and promising rout for fabrication of advanced high-temperature, ultra-hard ceramics.<\/p><p style=\"line-height: 16.1px; background-color: #ffffff; font-size: (Auton\u00f3mico)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen:<\/strong> Este proyecto esta\u0301 consagrado al estudio de las condiciones de fabricacio\u0301n mediante horno de chispa de plasma y sinterizado en caliente de muestras de carburo de boro con estequiometri\u0301a controlada. El objetivo del proyecto es dilucidar si, mediante control de la estequiometri\u0301a, es posible conseguir una cera\u0301mica ultrarrefractaria con resistencia meca\u0301nica a la deformacio\u0301n pla\u0301stica excepcional y con resistencia a la fractura y al desgaste mejorada a temperatura ambiente y a altas temperaturas. A tal fin, se van a preparar muestras de carburo de boro mediante reaccio\u0301n qui\u0301mica a altas temperaturas durante recocido en un horno de chispa de plasma (SPS). Igualmente se realizara\u0301 mediante prensado en caliente en un horno de altas temperaturas. Las muestras asi\u0301 preparadas se caracterizara\u0301n microestructuralmente mediante te\u0301cnicas como difraccio\u0301n de rayos X, para determinar cuantitativamente la falta de estequiometri\u0301a, y microscopi\u0301as de barrido para estudiar la distribucio\u0301n y morfologi\u0301a de los granos. El objetivo u\u0301ltimo es determinar cua\u0301l es la falta de estequiometri\u0301a que optimiza la respuesta meca\u0301nica del material, bien su resistencia a la fractura (dureza y tenacidad) o bien la plasticidad a altas temperaturas. Desde el punto de vista ba\u0301sico, se pretende estudiar el tipo de maclas generadas en diferentes tipos de cera\u0301micas de carburo de boro y su interaccio\u0301n con las dislocaciones creadas durante la deformacio\u0301n pla\u0301stica. Direcci\u00f3n General de Investigaci\u00f3n y Transferencia del Conocimiento<br \/><\/span><\/p><p><span><strong>Resumen: <\/strong><\/span>El proyecto FFRAC afrontar\u00e1 el estudio de los fen\u00f3menos suceso de refuerzo de compuestos de matriz cer\u00e1mica con al\u00f3tropos de carbono nanoestructurados, desde un punto de vista fundamental. El objetivo fundamental del proyecto es ampliar el grado de conocimiento cient\u00edfico sobre los procesos de respuesta mec\u00e1nica en la micro y la nanoescala en este tipo de materiales. El proyecto se centrar\u00e1 en matrices de al\u00famina, un material muy utilizado en la industria, pero con severas limitaciones para aplicaciones estructurales dada su alta fragilidad. Como fases de refuerzo se considerar\u00e1n al\u00f3tropos de carbono nanoestructurados como los nanotubos de carbono y el grafeno. Para la obtenci\u00f3n de nuevos compuestos, se dise\u00f1ar\u00e1n nuevas rutas de s\u00edntesis basadas en el m\u00e9todo sol-gel que corregir\u00e1n las dificultades habituales de fabricaci\u00f3n de estos compuestos, y que siguen provocando serias limitaciones en la implementaci\u00f3n de esta estrategia de refuerzo. Adem\u00e1s, se desarrollar\u00e1 un trabajo espec\u00edfico y novedoso basado en dispersi\u00f3n de radiaci\u00f3n a bajo \u00e1ngulo para el estudio de la calidad de la dispersi\u00f3n de los al\u00f3tropos de carbono en la matriz, uno de los aspectos m\u00e1s cr\u00edticos y a\u00fan no resueltos. Se estudiar\u00e1n las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas de ambos cer\u00e1micos a temperatura ambiente (dureza y tenacidad), as\u00ed como su plasticidad a alta temperatura (resistencia a la fluencia, deformaci\u00f3n a velocidad constante).<\/span><\/p><p><span>Se pretende estudiar la influencia de la microestructura en la respuesta mec\u00e1nica, as\u00ed como dilucidar los mecanismos que controlan la plasticidad (particularmente la interacci\u00f3n de dislocaciones con maclas). Los resultados se modelar\u00e1n anal\u00edticamente o mediante simulaci\u00f3n a escala transformaci\u00f3n en nuevos recursos o materias primas. A ambos desaf\u00edos da respuesta el proyecto SMARTerials, cuyo objetivo es desarrollar materiales de construcci\u00f3n innovadores con propiedades auto-limpiantes, descontaminantes y biocidas. De los objetivos espec\u00edficos del espec\u00edficos, nuestro grupo se encarga del desarrollo de morteros de cal y morteros de cal\/cemento con propiedades secuestrantes de CO2. En todos los casos se partir\u00e1 de distintas t\u00e9cnicas de fabricaci\u00f3n tendentes al ograr la dispersi\u00f3n uniforme de los al\u00f3tropos en la matriz cer\u00e1mica, que es uno de los principiales problemas que persisten en la actualidad para la fabricaci\u00f3n de este tipo de materiales. Adem\u00e1s, se buscar\u00e1 la localizaci\u00f3n intragranular de los al\u00f3tropos de carbono y de la formaci\u00f3n de enlaces fuertes entre los al\u00f3tropos y la matriz. En segundo lugar, se pretende estudiar la influencia de la microestructura de los compuestos cer\u00e1micos en las propiedades mec\u00e1ncias, tanto a baja temperatura mediante t\u00e9cnicas como
