This event brought together experts and stakeholders to share progress and insights related to the <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/estygeotec\/2021-2022-calculation-and-design-of-facade-solutions-for-energy-and-seismic-improvement-in-old-neighbourhoods\/\"><strong data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"594\">RENERSIS <\/strong>project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"1000\">The session was an important milestone in promoting <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"685\">cross-border cooperation<\/strong> and advancing research into the <strong data-start=\"718\" data-end=\"785\">seismic vulnerability and energy efficiency of residential buildings.<\/strong> The workshop served as a space for dialogue between technical professionals, public administration, and academia..<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1026\">\ud83d\udd0d What is RENERSIS?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1098\">RENERSIS is funded by the <strong>Junta de Andaluc\u00eda<\/strong> that aims to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1099\" data-end=\"1346\">\n<li data-start=\"1099\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1166\">Analyze and improve the <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1145\">seismic behavior<\/strong> of residential buildings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1234\">\n<p data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1234\">Promote <strong data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1217\">energy efficiency and sustainability<\/strong> in construction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1346\">\n<p data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1346\">Develop <strong data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1269\">tools and strategies<\/strong> to help local governments and institutions better prepare for natural risks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1383\">\ud83c\udfdb\ufe0f Highlights of the Workshop:<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1676\">\n<li data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1436\">\n<p data-start=\"1386\" data-end=\"1436\">Presentation of project goals and current results.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1528\">\n<p data-start=\"1439\" data-end=\"1528\">Technical discussions on modeling building performance under seismic and energy criteria.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1591\">\n<p data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1591\">Case studies and tools to assess <strong data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1590\">retrofit interventions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1592\" data-end=\"1676\">\n<p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1676\">Exchange of <strong data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1624\">best practices<\/strong> between partner institutions in Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1887\">The event featured contributions from the <strong data-start=\"1720\" data-end=\"1755\">TEP-107 Structures and Geotechnics Research Group<\/strong>, architects, engineers, and policymakers who are working together to create a <strong data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1886\">resilient and energy-efficient built environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"2106\">To learn more about the RENERSIS project and access detailed materials from the workshop, visit the full programme here:<br data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2007\" \/>\ud83d\udd17 <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1KVbECIRpqE__r3N_cQ4OF42g7h4-qIUa\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"2010\" data-end=\"2106\">RENERSIS Project Workshop Post<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83c\udf0d RENERSIS Project Workshop: A Cross-Border Initiative to Strengthen Seismic and Energy Resilience in Residential Buildings On November 3rd, 2022, the Technical Workshop for the RENERSIS Project was held at the Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Arquitectura of the Universidad de Sevilla.
