The LAIS.US study in its second and third phases (W2 and W3) is connected to the research Analysis of the Collaborative Families program from the point of view of collaborators, professionals and children and adolescents under guardianship, directed by Dr. Esperanza León of the University of Seville. This research project studied of the new resource of the Child Protection System called Collaborative Families, which is a family alternative in which adults commit to sharing periods of time, such as weekends and holidays, with children and adolescents who are in residential care. The study is being carried out by the University of Seville and the Crecer con Futuro association, with the collaboration of the Department of Equality, Social Policies and Work-Life Balance of the Andalusian Regional Government.
