El estudio LAIS.US en su primera fase (T1) se encuentra conectado con el proyecto de investigación Desarrollo socio-afectivo y cognitivo en acogimiento familiar. Adversidad, procesos familiares y adaptación, dirigido por el Dr. Jesús Jiménez de la Universidad de Sevilla. Esta investigación se ha centrado en el estudio del desarrollo infantil y los procesos familiares en el acogimiento familiar. A partir de la conexión de ambos estudios se han desarrollado los siguientes trabajos:
