New Publication accepted in International Journal of Electronic Government Research

We are thrilled to share that the main work from Salvador Muñoz-Hermoso’s industrial PhD thesis has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Electronic Government Research (IJEGR).

The article, soon to be published in the International Journal of Electronic Government Research, represents the main outcome of the research on Smart Governance carried out as part of an industrial PhD between Diverso Lab and the Provincial Informatics Company of Seville (INPRO).

Their work provides both a theoretical and practical framework, along with resources to support the development of smart governance platforms for cities and municipalities. These data-intensive platforms, supported by disruptive technologies such as AI, will enable more open governments—fostering participation from citizens, professionals, and businesses in data- and knowledge-driven public decision-making.

The proposal also integrates software product line techniques to adapt these platforms to the specific needs of each municipality. The authors hope this contribution serves as a starting point for prototypes and R&D projects that will help drive the province of Seville toward digital transformation and smarter territories.

Congrats to Salvador and co-authors David Benavides and Francisco J. Domínguez Mayo for this significant achievement!
