Our laboratory is dedicated to studying the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cancer development. Cells are prone to errors in their genome, but the body has sophisticated DNA repair mechanisms that are crucial to preventing genomic instability. This instability is a key factor in the onset of various diseases, including cancer. Gaining a deeper understanding of these processes is not only essential for comprehending cancer better but also for developing novel therapies that specifically target and eliminate tumor cells by correcting or blocking genomic instability.
Additionally, our team focuses on investigating how the synergy between radiotherapy and immunotherapy can enhance cancer treatments, particularly in lung cancer, by optimizing therapeutic responses and improving the effectiveness of malignant cell elimination.
