Operating parameters are defined<br\/>to maximize H\u2082 production and CO\u2082 capture. The experimental use of low-cost catalysts is investigated, which significantly enhances the conversion of char gasification at the relatively low temperatures at which the gasifier operates. The catalytic effect of calcium sorbents on tar reforming is experimentally characterized. An experimental study is carried out to define the optimal operating conditions that allow the separation of different solid streams in a fluidized bed (char, sorbent, and inert solids) for optimal
