El Proyecto General de Investigaci\u00f3n (PGI) COSMOS <\/em>(\u201cComplejidad Social, Monumentalidad y Simbolismo. El Mega-Sitio de la Edad del Cobre de Valencina de la Concepci\u00f3n-Castilleja de Guzm\u00e1n (Sevilla): La Zona Suroriental\u00bb, ha sido aprobado por la Direcci\u00f3n General de Patrimonio Hist\u00f3rico de la Consejer\u00eda de Cultura y Deportes de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con un desarrollo previsto entre 2026 y 2032, el objetivo central de este proyecto es avanzar en la comprensi\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo, entre finales del IV y finales del III milenio ANE, tuvo lugar en Valencina un ciclo de evoluci\u00f3n social humana en el que se gener\u00f3 un asentamiento y lugar central con fuerte componente ceremonial, monumental y funerario que convirti\u00f3 a este sitio en foco de la vida social en una amplia regi\u00f3n circundante, fomentando fen\u00f3menos incomparables de creatividad y construcci\u00f3n de conocimiento (e intercambio) expresado en el desarrollo de la artesan\u00eda, la arquitectura y la escultura, al mismo tiempo que allanaba el camino hacia la diferenciaci\u00f3n social y, quiz\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n, de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proyecto cuenta con un equipo integrado con m\u00e1s de 20 personas investigadores de diversas disciplinas y especialidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
