This paper is a major contribution towards the understanding of Antequera\u2019s complex megalithic landscape, as we examine here the relationship between a natural formation, La Pe\u00f1a, the graphic motifs depicted in the Matacabras shelter, and the orientation of Menga, a major megalithic construction of the Neolithic period. This research has been funded by research grant HAR2013-45149-P (\u201cNature, Society and Monumentality: High resolution Archaeological Research of the Antequera Megalithic Landscape\u201d) of the
